Reporting to the VP of Clinical Services, the Clinical Supervisor provides leadership to launch an innovative new program to ensure individuals with IDD involved in the justice system receive coordinated, evidence-informed services to promote stability, reduce recidivism, and support community integration.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the VP of Clinical Services, the Clinical Supervisor provides leadership to launch an innovative new program to ensure individuals with IDD involved in the justice system receive coordinated, evidence-informed services to promote stability, reduce recidivism, and support community integration.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee hiring and onboarding of staff and lead ongoing staff development, including NYF Coaching and Mentoring and group supervision, to maintain a high-performing, motivated team dedicated to supporting people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities who have been impacted by the justice system.
  • Conduct screenings, intakes, and psychosocial assessments, collaborating with the Psychologist to ensure the battery of assessments required to identify an intellectual or developmental disabilities, mental illness, or substance use disorder are completed timely.
  • Conduct ongoing stakeholder engagement to build referral pathways externally to Dignity Rising and internally with other programming, identify community-based resources for people supported, create marketing materials, and serve as an ambassador for Dignity Rising. Attend court for new and existing clients.
  • Ensure program fidelity against KPIs with MST-EA and Skills System models and work with external partners to ensure pilot program is monitored and evaluated effectively, learnings are shared across industry partners, and opportunities are shared with relevant teams for program or policy advancements.
  • Manage the extensive documentation requirements in all databases to successfully comply with various mandates from agency, court, and other stakeholders, including model. Support the VP of Clinical Services with all reporting requirements, such as Program Monitoring Reports (PMR), tracking KPIs, and completing case reviews.
  • Oversee billable services and collaborate with billing staff and the VP of Clinical Services to ensure accurate reimbursement.
  • Schedule and facilitates Skills Systems groups at the Queens and Brooklyn NYF office locations, which may require flexibility in the evenings 1-2 days a week. Works with staff and people supported to motivate attendance.
  • Provide home-based clinical treatment utilizing Multisystemic Therapy for Emerging Adults and Skills Systems for a caseload of up to 1 as an Alternative to Incarceration program for clients 16 years and older with suspected or confirmed Intellectual and/or Developmental Disability Diagnosis. Provide coverage for supervisee’s caseload as needed.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling and full licensure, either LCSW or LMHC-DP, required.
  • 3+ years of experience working with IDD and/or Justice Involved population or in a related field (e.g., education, social services), including experience conducting psychosocial assessments.
  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and ensure efficient program operations.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in program design and service delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders (staff, students, families, funders). This includes crafting presentations, advocating for the program's mission, and effectively communicating program successes to various audiences.
  • Proficiency in relevant software programs and strong analytical skills to interpret program data, identify trends, and measure program effectiveness.
  • Experience supervising staff and proven ability to motivate, inspire, and guide a team of staff to achieve program goals, preferred.
  • Preferred experience working with clients utilizing trauma informed and evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral techniques, Multi-Systemic Therapy, and/or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Education Required

Masters’s Degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution or Credential Evaluation for a non-U.S. educational institution
