Responsibilities

The intake and court specialist role is key in facilitating the enrollment of incoming clients into the Families Rising Alternative to Incarceration program. Specialist will complete intakes for all incoming clients and ensure that all required paperwork and materials are completed and obtained. Specialist will also cover court related duties for all clients.

 

 

1.Cover court appearances for new and incoming clients: Ensure that clear and appropriate compliance updates are given for clients on record and manage accepting new referrals on record.

 

2. Provide clear updates to leadership on court appearances for new and existing clients.

 

3.Complete intakes with new clients in their home, or in the community.

 

4.Enter all intake related materials in the appropriate data bases and ensuring that clear updates are sent to leadership and therapeutic team.

 

5.Network with stakeholders to assist in receiving referrals.

 

6. Coordinate with stakeholders on navigating possible referrals through understanding what slots are available

 

7. Assist in the screening of new cases by speaking to incoming client and families to describe services and obtain their consent       

 

Qualifications

1. Previous experience completing intakes or experience working in a client facing role.

 

2. Experience working in a court setting, developing skills to communicate professionally in verbal and written manner

 

3. Previous experience working in criminal justice services

 

4.Cultural competency: Understanding different backgrounds and cultures of clients we work with

 

5. Ability to complete tasks in a flexible manner. Last minute tasks may arise, ensuring that all workers can cover tasks in appropriate and professional manner

 

6. Education: Bachelor's level degree in psychology, social work, sociology or related field  

 

 

Education Required

Bachelor’s Degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution or Credential Evaluation for a non-U.S. educational institution
