Responsibilities

The Supervisor of Reunification Specialist  position requires the ability to multi-task all programs. Provide oversight of maintaining the fidelity of the Parent Advocate model and will participate in all meetings (ITMs, Transitional, and Movements) and consultation calls with ACS on an as needed basis. Supervise a team of 8 Parent Advocates.  The Supervisor will be the lead in Tracking and Monitoring Intakes and assigning cases to the parent advocate in all regions. In addition, the Supervisor will be the Point person for all Discharge Grants. The Supervisor will Track and Monitor when Discharge grants are needed and support the handling of all the discharge grants across all regions. The Supervisor of Reunification Specialist will report to the AVP of Interdisciplinary Integration & Permanency.

 

Position Description: 

  • Track & monitor all Intakes and case assignments of Parent Advocates.
  • Supervise Parent Advocates and oversee the implementation of the Parent Advocate Model by ensuring that all components of the model are met with Fidelity.
  • Monitor to ensure monthly contacts are completed with all components of the Parent Advocate model with rigor and ensure timely documentation in CONNX, and Evolv. 
  • Participate in all meetings and consultation calls with ACS and RISE on an as needed basis. Attend all internal and external trainings as requested by leadership
  • Assist Parent advocate workers with meeting deadlines for all milestones, Initial call, Welcome Packett, Transitional meetings, P2P meetings, FTV (family time visits), Agency connections meeting, and Parent Survey.
  • Hold monthly Parent Advocate work groups to strengthen problem-solving skills while discovering their strengths and priorities
  • Regular and punctual time and attendance, and adherence to The Foundling’s and your department’s specific time and attendance policies and protocol.
  • Consistent demonstrated commitment to The Foundling’s BHAG, mission, vision and values (Compassion, Dignity, Family and Community, Diversity, Excellence).
  • Adherence to The Foundling’s employee policies, Code of Conduct and applicable rules, laws, regulations or bargaining agreements.
  • [If applicable:] Appropriate engagement with support departments to ensure appropriate and timely hiring, performance management, investigation, discipline, suspension, and restructuring decisions concerning direct reports. Regular supervision and performance evaluation of direct reports.
  • All other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned.

Qualifications

Other Requirements

  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills
  • The ability and willingness to work with stakeholders and AVP to ensure program practice/standard.
  • Prior experience working with child welfare population

 

Preferred Experience:

  • 1- 2 years of relevant experience in child welfare
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Email, and Data entry systems (e.g. Connections, Electronic Health Record).
  • Excellent communication skills required. 
  • Experience with working with at-risk populations.

 

 

Education Required

Bachelor’s Degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution or Credential Evaluation for a non-U.S. educational institution
