Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Nutrition Intern to join our team. The intern will gain hands-on experience in nutrition counseling, education, community outreach, and program development. This position is ideal for students or recent graduates pursuing a career in dietetics, public health, or wellness who are looking to enhance their skills in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Nutrition Intern to join our team. The intern will gain hands-on experience in nutrition counseling, education, community outreach, and program development. This position is ideal for students or recent graduates pursuing a career in dietetics, public health, or wellness who are looking to enhance their skills in a professional setting.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Assist registered dietitians with client education, session preparation, and follow-up resources.

· Support the development of nutrition education materials, presentations, and social media content.

· Participate in community or corporate wellness events, workshops, and health fairs.

· Conduct research on evidence-based nutrition topics and summarize findings for staff or client use.

· Assist with program evaluation, data collection, and tracking client progress.

· Provide administrative support such as scheduling, data entry, and recordkeeping.

· Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all client and organizational interactions.

 

Qualifications

· Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a nutrition, dietetics, public health, or related program.

· Strong interest in nutrition education, counseling, and health promotion.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.

· Comfortable with technology (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canva, or EMR platforms).

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Learning Opportunities

Compensation & Commitment

This is an unpaid internship requiring approximately 35 hours per week for a duration of 3 months. Scheduling can be flexible to accommodate academic commitments.
