Overview

The Project Assistant provides support to staff in the course of their normal operations and duties in departments such as but are not limited to, Development, Training, Adoption & Legal, Home Finding, Executive offices, and
Mental Health, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic administrative & office related task, such as filing, phone calls, mail handling, moving or procuring office supplies, and organizing rooms
  • Interact with the community in which we serve, research, report writing, training, video project, newsletter assembly, and other creative projects as assigned
  • Participate throughout the program which requires availability for virtual and in person meetings
  • Consistent and appropriate contact with your mentor and internship coordinator, as well as meeting assignment deadlines on a weekly basis
  • Play a crucial role in keeping projects on track by organizing, coordinating, and tracking progress
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively
  • Ability to effectively communicate with mentor, intership coordinator and peers in the program

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
  • Candidate must be 16-24 yrs old to be eligible for the program
  • Candidate cannot have completed college or is currently in college
  • Candidate must have access to basic communication equipment such as a phone, laptop
  • Candidate must be willing to learn and exercise basic technical skills (Outlook & TEAMS) as well as
    presentation skills or tablet (with access to the internet)
  • Candidate must speak, write and understand English
  • Some field work is possible and traveling to different office locations may be necessary
  • Good communication skills
