At The New York Foundling, we trust in the power and potential of people, and we deliberately invest in proven practices. From bold beginnings in 1869, our New York-based nonprofit has supported hundreds of thousands of our neighbors on their own paths to stability, strength, and independence. We help children and families navigate through and beyond foster care. We help families struggling with conflict and poverty grow strong. We help individuals with developmental disabilities live their best lives, and we help our neighbors access quality health and mental health services—core to building lifelong resilience and wellbeing. Together, our interrelated programs provide a whole-person, whole-family, and whole-life approach that unlocks solutions for a lifetime.
The New York Foundling’s Home of Integrated Behavioral Health, located at 109 East 115th Street in Manhattan and serving East Harlem and the surrounding communities, proudly assists children 21 and under and their families. At The New York Foundling’s Home of Integrated Behavioral Health, we specialize in providing research-based mental health services to young people struggling with anxiety, depression, traumatic stress, disruptive behaviors and identity-based concerns.
Based within The Foundling’s Home of Integrated Behavioral Health, the Foundling’s Identity & Acceptance program offers an array of clinical services for LGBTQIA+ youth across New York City, with the aim of creating a more equitable and inclusive world.
The clinical supervisor leads a team of up to 5 clinicians (through the I&A program and our general therapy services) and provides direct support by providing weekly supervision, case consultation, crisis support, clinic coverage, and documentation review. Supervisors are to model an exemplary standard of care for fellow clinicians by conducting best practice with an assigned caseload of clients through model adherence when applicable and regulatory standards from stakeholders.
