The Development Associate provides vital administrative and operational support to the Development team, with a focus on donor data management, event coordination, and donor communications. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy of donor records, facilitating effective fundraising efforts, and supporting the execution of events.

Responsibilities

The Development Associate provides vital administrative and operational support to the Development team, with a focus on donor data management, event coordination, and donor communications. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy of donor records, facilitating effective fundraising efforts, and supporting the execution of events.

 

  • Maintain accurate donor data by managing and updating donor records in Raiser’s Edge to ensure data accuracy and support informed, data-driven fundraising strategies.
  • Support gift processing and donor stewardship by ensuring timely and accurate processing of donations, including in-kind contributions, and coordinate the issuance of acknowledgment letters and tax receipts to enhance donor relations.
  • Contribute to fundraising campaigns and reporting by in preparing materials for fundraising appeals, meetings, and reports; track donor engagement and giving patterns to support segmentation and targeted outreach.
  • Pans and executes logistics for donor events such as galas and stewardship functions, including timeline management, volunteer coordination, and production of event materials and signage.
  • Assist with budget tracking, invoice processing, credit card reconciliation, and office management tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the Development team
  • Help manage digital filing systems for grants, donor communications, and event documentation to ensure efficient retrieval and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide scheduling assistance and administrative support to department leadership, and contribute to cross-functional projects and special initiatives as needed.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication or related field
  • Two years+ of experience in administration/coordination of events
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attentions to details
  • Team players and able to work independently
  • Proficient in excel, word, and MS power point and experience with RaisersEdge

Education Required

Bachelor’s Degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution or Credential Evaluation for a non-U.S. educational institution

Salary Range:

$51,000 - $54,800/year
