This 6-week opportunity offers the Intern a chance to enhance and refine their professional skills. The intern will support the Career Development team through administrative tasks and assistance with program-related responsibilities. By contributing to event organization and the development of materials, the intern will play a key role in advancing the success of the department.

Responsibilities

This 6-week opportunity offers the Intern a chance to enhance and refine their professional skills. The intern will support the Career Development team through administrative tasks and assistance with program-related responsibilities. By contributing to event organization and the development of materials, the intern will play a key role in advancing the success of the department.

  • Assist with organizing and setting up virtual and in-person events for the Career development team.
  • Create flyers and other promotional materials to support program initiatives.
  • Draft emails to communicate career updates, events, and opportunities in a clear and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with staff to improve program outreach, efficiency and student participation
  • Conduct research on todays job market and gather resources to share with students
  • Participate and attend team collaborative meetings (Career team meetings, YAB, planning meetings and more.)
  • Adherence to The Foundling’s employee policies, Code of Conduct and applicable rules, laws, regulations or bargaining agreements.
  • Other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School/ GED required; BA/BS preferred
  • Basic computer skills, including experience utilizing various Microsoft programs (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.), Canva, and Google Docs.
  • Ability to travel to in person meetings and events, mainly at the Manhattan NYF office.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external partners/ stakeholders.

Education Required

High School / G.E.D.

Salary Range:

$15-$20/hour
