The primary responsibility is the direct oversight and day to day operations of the employment services programs in their designated regions. As well as supervising the Job Coach position. Lastly, they ensure the completion of and implementation of each participant's life plan to ensure the highest level of support is provided.

The primary responsibility is the direct oversight and day to day operations of the employment services programs in their designated regions. As well as supervising the Job Coach position. Lastly, they ensure the completion of and implementation of each participant's life plan to ensure the highest level of support is provided.

  • Oversee and support all participants in the program, ensuring their support needs are met. Foster each person's independence. Including assisting them with developing their work readiness skills, job seeking, job retention and other support needs.
  • Develop and implement customized Staff Action Plans, identify job placements, and collaborate with job coaches and worksite/volunteer site managers to ensure safe, integrated, and appropriate work or volunteer opportunities.
  • Manage, train and support Job Coaches, review time sheets, oversee training completions, conduct regular check ins, complete annual evaluations, ensure submission of daily billing, and ensure staff compliance with policies and best practices.
  • Advocate for participants using Person-Centered Planning, attending their life plan meetings, ensure compliance with policies, regulations, Oversee incident management and timely billing.
  • Conduct job readiness workshops, complete annual assessments based on observations and discovery and connect participants to educational and training opportunities to further their employment goals.
  • Maintain monthly service schedules, manage staff attendance, and oversee overall program operations, including performance evaluations and discipline when necessary.
  • Travel across designated regional hubs and work/volunteer sites as required to support participants and staff.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must have 1 year of supervisory experience and at least 3 years of related DD experience.
  • Valid NY/CT/PA/NJ State License
  • Supervisory Experience: Proven ability to effectively lead and supervise Job Coaches in a Community Precocational or Supported Employment Program setting.
  • Knowledge of Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD): Understanding of the needs, challenges, and best practices in supporting persons with developmental disabilities.
  • Person-Centered Planning: Experience in implementing person-centered planning approaches to support individualized goals and outcomes for persons supported.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Proficient in maintaining accurate documentation, progress notes, and persons records while adhering to confidentiality standards.
  • Crisis Management and Problem-Solving: Ability to manage crises calmly, make informed decisions under pressure, and resolve conflicts or issues that may arise in the program.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification: Ability to respond to medical emergencies promptly and appropriately.
  • Organizational skills: Ability to organize schedules, documentation, activities and program needs
