Educational and Employment placement responsibility for 50 young adults participating in Scattered Site Supportive Housing Program in Brooklyn. Position reports to Program Supervisor.
Salary Range: $53,550-$60,850/year

BA or BSW required, MSW preferred.
Other Requirements:
A minimum of 1-2 years experience working with youth; familiarity with the NYC child welfare system a plus; experience working with youth with mental health and substance use issues a plus; bilingual Eng/Span preferred. Experience with employment and educational coaching a plus. Must be an excellent communicator and have good interpersonal skills to interact with staff, participants, and employers/stakeholders. Must be a good writer and have demonstrated ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Ability and willingness to work some weekends and evenings is required. Must be available for quarterly after-hour coverage.
Due to the nature of this program, the Supportive Housing Vocational Specialist can expect to spend at least 50% of work time in the field or working remotely and must use tools and policies to record work time and maintain communication and accountability
