The Family Respite Coordinator will recruit, certify, and annually re certify identified respite families in accordance with the required and best practice credentials to opening and re-certifying respite families. The Coordinator will collaborate with the the interdisciplinary team to provide EBM- GenPMTO training to respite families, and engage/support families.

 

Salary Range: $52,530- $59,830/year

Responsibilities

The Family Respite Coordinator will recruit, certify, and annually re certify identified respite families in accordance with the required and best practice credentials to opening and re-certifying respite families. The Coordinator will collaborate with the the interdisciplinary team to provide EBM- GenPMTO training to respite families, and engage/support families.

Responsibilities:

  • The Coordinator will play a key role in achieving the successful recruitment, certification, re-cert, and placement matching of respite families, ensuring timely and effective support throughout the process, utilizing an evidence based Gen PMTO model. This person will be responsible for building and maintaining a high quality pool of families
  • The Coordinator will ensure all respite families are equipped for success by facilitating pre and post service training using an EBM. This person will support families readiness and program fidelity. Additionally, will serve as the primary support of contact for all respite families, maintaining regular communication and engagement.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to plan and facilitate weekly respite support groups that foster peer-to-peer learning, emotional support, and community connection among families, with goal to allow the families a space to share experiences, build peer support, and strengthen their use of EBM.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required documentation by entering data into NYF, Model, and ACS databases within established program timeframes. This supports program accountability, facilitates seamless service delivery, and ensures compliance with agency and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development/Training ( Internal, Model Developer and Stakeholders) to overall development as well as support programmatic and family/child needs.
  • Stay on top of data management by ensuring all program goals (KPIs, Performance Targets, and Performance Indicators) are achieved
  • Assisting with administrative program needs to support participant and program needs. Be the liaison to finance for any respite parents financial needs and follow up.

Salary Range: $52,530- $59,830/year

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology, Community organizing or related Field. Bilingual Preferred but not required
  • 3+ years experience working with or providing services to at risk children and families in Child Welfare, with community organizing and outreach experience.
  • Energetic and approachable personality with strong skills in computer and marketing
  • Experience and willingness to work with the culturally diverse populations that are present among the program's target population
  • Open to reflective practice (i.e. has capacity for introspection, communicates awareness of self in relation to others, recognizes value of supervision)
  • Flexibility with schedule as program will need evening and weekend support. This is a 24/7 on call program for emergencies that arise during after hours.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)and comfortable with running groups and public speaking

Education Required

Bachelor’s Degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution or Credential Evaluation for a non-U.S. educational institution
