The YA Housing Brooklyn Supervisor is responsible for providing Casework Supervision for 1 Case Planner and 1 Vocational Specialist and providing task supervision for interns as applicable. The position requires providing direct service coverage of 3-5 cases as necessary. Supervisor provides oversight for 19 cases in New York Foundling’s NY 15 and ESSHI young adult housing program. Position will report to CBEP AVP of Young Adult Supportive Housing. Due to the nature of this program, the Supportive Housing Program Supervisor can expect to spend at least 50% of work time in the field or working remotely and must use tools and policies to record work time and maintain communication and accountability. Job Responsibilities:
- Manage supportive housing program for 19 young adults, age 18 to 25, who have experienced chronic homelessness and experienced a variety or system involvement.
- Ensure that young adults served by the program are being linked with appropriate services in the community, receiving all benefits to which they are entitled, and that their holistic wellness, educational, financial and vocational needs are being met so that they may live independently.
- Monitor client and staff outcomes to inform programming and continued enhancement of service provision.
- Provide coaching and supervision to the assigned team. Complete coaching agendas, logs and staff performance evaluations for supervisees. Utilize Microsoft Teams coaching channels to enter logs and track goals.
- Coordinate with team and AVP to ensure 24/7 emergency on-call coverage.
- Assess and support case planner’s professional development. With focus on case planner’s engagement, intervention implementation, skill building, and use of community resources. Build upon strengths and areas for growth, while identifying appropriate training referrals.
- Track the completion of required annual trainings for supervisees.
- Collaborate with team supervisor to maintain the C.A.B for residents and plan Community Days.
- Meet with clients as necessary to enforce program guidelines, provide crisis intervention, mediate roommate relations and assess mental health concerns as needed
- Monitor and plan for all client service reviews and occupancy agreement renewal deadlines to maintain adherence to DOHMH/OTDA standards.
- Collaborate with team supervisor to conduct orientations/interviews and assessments of program applicants to fill vacancies in a timely manner. Assign applicants to units and case planners upon acceptance of applicants.
- Monitor timely completion of required data entry for EVOLV, TMS, CAPS, and all applicable systems.
- Collaborate with the program aide to ensure all apartments meet safety standards per DOB and DOHMH/OTDA guidelines.
- Interact with landlords and/or building management as necessary.
- Partner with NYF senior leadership, DOHMH/OTDA staff and additional stakeholders for compliance tracking and program development.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of tracking systems to NYF and DOHMH/OTDA as required.
- Partner with NYF QPC (Quality Assurance) team to monitor program incidents and plan interventions for optimal outcomes.
- Attend and participate in meetings with NYF staff, ACS, HRA, OTDA, DOHMH, DHS, and additional stakeholders as necessary.
- Maintain clear, concise and accurate documentation of progress that promote peer and supervisory review and feedback, and that demonstrates compliance with evidenced based clinical model and meeting our agency’s expectation. A
- Assure documentation (data entry) for contacts, incidents, and reports are submitted timely (as indicated by program).
- Timely data entry of all services practices of the program in agency record and for reporting, and other system as provided.
- Receive supervision from NY Foundling leadership. Attend mandatory weekly supervision and consultation on-site at identified location by the supervisor.
- Capacity and comfortability to supervise others and interns.
- Has ability to maintain confidential stakeholder/client records.
- Willing to cover for team-members. Willing and able to work flexible hours. Some evenings and weekends required.
- Related duties as assigned by supervisor or administration to ensure that program outcomes are being reached.
- If NYS Licensed (i.e. LCSW, LMHC, LMFT), support with group licensure supervision for clinical staff.
- Must be able to analyze data to ensure progress towards Key Performance Indicators and strategize for optimal outcomes.

Salary $73,542.00 - $78,042.00/year
